Q:
What are the precautions after SST skin grafting?
A:
1. If the band-aid applied to the treatment site is about to come off, go to a pharmacy or online shopping mall
Please purchase a "3M Band-Aid" tape and add it to it.
(When removing the tape in the future, you should use tape that does not hurt the skin.)
Never remove the first tape you put on.
2. The transplanted area should wait at least 3 days before it can settle and it should take about a week to feel safe.
3. Make sure that the skin graft does not accumulate in the sweat area.
If you sweat, there is a high chance that the band will fall off, and the transplanted skin may not be engrafted well.
4. Exercise can make you sweat, so it's best to avoid it for a week, but if you have to do it, it's recommended to do it after 3 days. Please be very careful not to fall.
5. After skin grafting, you should be careful about the joint area or the overlapping area due to movement for at least 3 days .
6. The transplanted area may bleed and ooze .
If there is a lot of oozing, press it widely with gauze to allow the ooze to come out of the tape.
Wipe off the tape without removing it.
7. The tape is waterproof on the transplanted area, but if you rub it while soaped, it may come off quickly, so make sure that only the water comes into contact with it, and the area except the transplanted area Cleansing and showering are available
8. Facial transplants can be applied after more than 10 days.
Please check your skin condition before doing so, and refrain from doing so if possible.
9. Don't drink alcohol for a week (abstinence for 7 days).
10. Don't give up.
Vitiligo is not easy to treat. Don't give up just because you don't get good results from a single SST skin graft.
Most of them have good results after the 3rd~4th treatment.
Above all, it is important to continue to receive treatment.

Q:
What is Vitiligo Surgery SST?
A:
Vitiligo Surgery SST (Skin Seeding Technique) is a vitiligo treatment method developed by Dr. Kim Dong-seok of Eureka Dermatology.
It is also expressed as a rice planting-type full-thickness skin graft, in which melanocytes are finely removed from the skin where they normally exist and implanted in the vitiligo area.
Since it is treated with finely removed skin tissue, it is possible not only for curved surfaces but also for eye areas that were difficult to operate, and it is a treatment that can be operated on by children because of the low pain.
In addition, SST is Eureka's own trademark name registered by Eureka.
It is a surgical method developed by Dr. Kim Dong-seok himself and even registered a patent himself.
In other hospitals, it is also described as a micro-punch implant.
