What is Eureka SST Full Thickness Skin Grafting?

sst피부이식술이란 sst피부이식술이란 Eureka Dermatology's SST (Skin Seeding Technique) skin grafting collects small skin pieces, 0.4 mm in diameter, from normal skin and transplants them to the vitiligo area.
Unlike general skin grafting, Eureka's SST skin grafting collects skin one by one as if planting seeds or transplanting rice seedlings, so it is possible to transplant and survive even in joint areas or curved surfaces. There is almost no bleeding during the procedure and the scars are not deep, so it is also possible to perform the procedure on the face.
In addition, platelets extracted from autologous blood are used on the grafted skin to help the grafted normal cells survive and help the surrounding area regenerate.
 
Eureka's vitiligo treatment SST is a full-thickness skin graft, not an epidermal graft .
Epidermal grafting and skin grafting are different concepts.

    Precautions after SST skin grafting

  • 01 01If the bandage attached to the treatment area is about to fall off, purchase "3M Bandage" tape from a pharmacy or online shopping mall and attach it. (You must use a tape that will not harm your skin when removing the tape in the future.)

    Never remove the tape that was first applied!

  • 02 After skin grafting, you must be careful of joint areas or areas that overlap due to movement for at least 3 days. Movement may prevent skin from taking hold. You can feel relieved after about a week.
  • 03 Please take care not to let sweat accumulate in the area where the skin graft was placed.
    If sweat accumulates, the band may fall off and the grafted skin may not take hold well.
  • 04 It is recommended to avoid exercise for a week as it can make you sweat, but if you must exercise, it is recommended to start after 3 days, and take special care to ensure that the tape does not come off.
  • 05 Be careful not to expose the transplanted area to ultraviolet rays (sunlight).
  • 06 The transplanted area may bleed and ooze pus. If there is a lot of pus, press it with gauze and the pus will come out through the tape. Do not remove the tape, but wipe it off.
  • 07 The tape on the transplanted area is waterproof, but it may come off quickly if you rub it with soap, so just get it wet enough. You can wash your face and shower anywhere except the transplanted area.
  • 08 The area where the facial transplant was performed can be put on makeup after 10 days.
    Please check your skin condition before applying makeup, and if possible, refrain from doing so.
  • 09 Don't drink alcohol for a week. (Abstain from alcohol for 7 days)
  • 10 Don't give up!

    Vitiligo is treatable.

    Don't give up just because the results from one SST skin graft were not good.

    Vitiligo Treatment Precautions
  • Before going out, apply sunscreen thoroughly and block UV rays as much as possible with a hat or parasol.
  • Eat plenty of foods rich in vitamins and antioxidants.
  • Avoid strong massages, scrubbing baths, and exfoliating treatments that irritate the skin.
  • Although rare, it may be accompanied by pigmentary abnormalities of the retina and iris in some individuals, and autoimmune diseases such as hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism, diabetes, and alopecia areata may occur.
